Have a warm and welcoming stay

Taylor’s B&B is family run and located in the heart of Penistone. It is a home away from home with very welcoming and friendly hosts Tim and Sara.

Taylor’s is ideally situated for people working in the area and visiting friends and family. It is at the centre point of the Trans Pennine Trail and is on the route of the Tour de Yorkshire 2018. It is a great base for visiting the Peak District and other local attractions. We have a secure and dry place for your bikes, and if Breakfast is not your thing, a packed lunch can be sorted on request.
If you are attending the local company called Lavenders, please call for special rates.

600 yrds  to the train station/ Lavenders

Situated 7.5 miles from Barnsley, 13 miles from Huddersfield, 15 miles from Sheffield and 26 miles from Leeds. We have excellent access to the M1 North and South bound which joins to the M62 and the M18.

A steady 10 minute walk will take you to the train station with links to both the Huddersfield and Sheffield rail networks.

A short walk up hill will take you into the centre of Penistone with local amenities - cafes, shops, pubs, supermarkets and a cinema which is over 100 years old and has an intermission with an ice cream lady! Alternatively take a short walk down the hill and there are 2 further pubs, and both Italian and Indian restaurants.

Places to Visit
The trans Pennine trail is 300 yrds away

Holmfirth is the home of Last of the Summer wine which many of you will have seen or at least heard of - Nora Batty and her tights!

Castleton for the Blue John caverns.

Cawthorne Park is a lovely day out for the family feeding the ducks, viewing the house and visiting the farm

Wentworth Castle Gardens, Elsecar Heritage Centre and a fair few reservoirs to pick from such as Langsett, Lady Bower or Derwent.
